Instructions
 
Things You'll Need:
    * Red tissue paper
    * Bobby pin
    * Scissors
    * Rose perfume (optional)
    * Green florist wire
    * Green florist tape
    * Vase
 
 
How To Make Paper Roses
 
 
 
   1.
      Cut the paper. For a paper rose roughly the size of its living counterpart, cut the tissue paper into 4 x 4 inch 
squares. For fuller roses, cut five to seven squares. For opening buds, cut four squares. Line the squares up in a neat stack.
   2.
      Fold the paper. Make accordion folds in the paper roughly ½ inch per fold. More folds make a fuller flower. 
To accordion fold, fold the bottom edge of the papers ½ inch up. Hold onto the fold with your thumbs and forefingers
 and flip the papers so the fold is now at the top and the "back" of the stack is facing you. Fold ½ inch down, being 
careful to line up with the first fold. Hold on to the folds and flip the paper back to its original position. Repeat until
 all the paper is folded.
   3.
      Clip it with the bobby pin. Carefully slide the center of your folded stack width-wise onto the bobby pin and "fan out" the paper on either side of the pin. You should have a bobby pin surrounded 
by two half-circles of accordion-folded tissue paper.
   4.
      Fluff up the petals. Carefully separate the layers of tissue paper from their fellows and gently pull them 
as vertically as you want. Try to also fluff them to the side to cover the gap between the divided sides of paper.
 Lightly spritz your flower with rose-scented perfume for authenticity.
   5.
      Add a stem, if desired. Take a 12-inch length florist wire and wrap the first inch or two tightly around the remaining bobby pin. Let the rest
 be the long stem. Cover it with green florist tape.
